MILITARY TRIBUTE NIGHT AT THE SPEEDWAY
Madera, CA (5.20.13) - This Saturday night May 25th is Military Tribute night at the Loanmart Madera Speedway, and that means if you are active or retired military you get in for FREE this Saturday night.
Fans will see a great show this Saturday night at the fastest 1/3 mile in the West as there are two headliners on the schedule, the first is the LoanMart Late Model Series and the second is the Pick a Part Southwest Tour trucks. The Late Models run 100 laps, and the trucks run 75 laps!
"I think fans will be pleased with this event as the car counts in the LoanMart late Model Series are going to be up, I know this because of the volume of calls coming into the office about rules, points, and the year-end $10,000 to win shoot-out for this series. On top of that, the Pick a Part Southwest Tour Trucks race wheel to wheel on our track, so this will be a great show" Kenny Shepherd.
In addition to the 100 lap LoanMart late model race and the 75 lap Southwest Tour truck race, there is also the Toyota Sedans, MST's, Mini -Cup, Hobby Stocks, 4-Bangers and fan favorite 18 second bracket race!
Speaking of the Toyota Sedans, the "Large vs Fortney" rivalry is brewing and fans are sure to see some hammer-down racing with this rivalry. In the spirit of tipping our hat to a great on track battle, the speedway will have a "Tip Jar" at the front gate for fans to throw in some cash for the winner of the Sedan Main event.
We are also going to invite both Donnie Large Jr., and Kyle Fortney out on June 8th for the Pombo/Sargent Classic to face off in an old fashioned best of three "Grudge Match" in front of fans that really appreciate a good old fashioned rivalry. The speedway has put up the first $100 for the winner of this match, and fans can throw in more if they would like to spice it up.
This Saturday May 25th pits open at 1pm, front gates at 3:30, qualifying at 4, and main events start at 6pm. Military, active and retired get in for FREE, adult tickets are $15, seniors are $13, youth ages 6-12 are $7, kids five and under are free, family packs (2 adults, two youth) are $40.

To pay tribute to these two GIANTS in California Open Wheel racing we are having a pure OPEN WHEEL event featuring the MEGA PURSE Pabst Blue Ribbon Winged World Series Super Modifieds going head to head against Winged Sprint Cars, the BCRA/USAC Midgets, the NCMA wingless Sprint Cars, and the Vintage Hard tops and Vintage Midgets!
Race fans will enjoy a PURE open wheel event at the Pombo/Sargent Classic, but we thought we would take it one step further to pay tribute to two of the best ever in the sport, we are ROLLING TICKET PRICES BACK for this special event.

Five-dollar tickets and a Mother's Day prize package valued at $500 brought extra fans to the LoanMart Madera Speedway Saturday night, and all in attendance were treated to a night full of wild racing that at one point had a driver playing villain to jeers and taunts from the crowd.
